ROLL

AROUND

ICELAND

A group of middle-aged + women will be traveling on Electric Scooters on a maximum 25-kilometer speed, around Iceland on a road called highway number one

Due to the consequences of COVID-19, so many of their friends and their friends from all over the world can’t travel to Iceland this June. That's why three-middle aged Icelandic girlfriends, jokingly calling themselves The Rocking Rollettes, are going to bring Iceland to their friends abroad by being LIVE on social media every day as they

Roll Around Iceland on their electric scooters and vehicles at a max 25 km per hour.

At each location, we are planning to meet with inspiring locals, getting their juicy stories.

We are mostly going to be going with the flow

as we roll around.  We might be talking with locals who see and speak with elves all the time, farmers who are using eco-friendly ways to transform their farms to adventure places or people who have turned sheeps testicles into a gourmet feast.  To give you a tiny, winy insights diversity of peoples and places that we will be sharing.

If you know someone that cannot travel to Iceland at this time, but would like to virtually join our group of three middle-aged women on a ROLL AROUND ICELAND you are most welcome to invite them the ride with us.

The journey starts on June 22nd.

ABOUT THE
PROJECT AND
THE STORY

A group of middle-aged + women will be traveling on Electric Scooters on a maximum 25-kilometer speed, around Iceland on a road called highway number one

THE ROAD TRIP ON HIGHWAY #1 | ICELAND
A 1.332 kilometers in total. The team will be live on social media from the beginning to the end, approx 10 hours each day. Stopping every once in a while to share stories and interviews with their audience.

ONE OF A KIND
This kind of traveling has never been executed before and we are proud to say we are the first to make this attempt.

A LIVE GLOBAL EXPERIENCE
At the same time the group is giving people from all corners of the world the change to get to know Iceland though their journey.

DEPARTURE
The trip starts in the capital of Iceland REYKJAVIK at the Árbæjarsafn Museum on the
22.06.22 at 10 am UTC.

HOW WE ARE GOING TO RECHARGE & REJUVENATE
The group has scheduled 14 resting points around Iceland.

The team will be taking turns riding on the electric Scooters, while other members will be charging their batteries in the team's safety car, which will be traveling behind the scooters, protecting them from the traffic, acting as the mother station.

ARRIVALS
The group plans to be back in Reykjavik on the 5th of July if the weather gods will be kind to them and everything goes as planned.

Eyja (known for having sometimes a miscellaneous imagination) was sitting sluggishly in her sofa with the computer on her bigger belly than normal, with fatty fingers after eating pringles, browsing the internet, looking at holiday images of her wakeboarding, doing her bit in staying home and away from people while the COVID alert was slowly being mitigated in Iceland.

That’s then when she saw the news about a group of Icelandic women all dressed up in matching costumes that were swimming the English Channel making history.

Eyja watched with admiration how the women made their way to shore and celebrated victory. She quickly rose up and the pringle crumbs made their way to her thighs and to the floor, she grabbed her phone and texted her friends "We need to get our act together ladies. It's time for us to do something historical.

I would like to challenge you to join me in a rase around Iceland on a Wakeboard!”......there was silence....Eyja stared at her phone, excited to see the reaction. On the other end where her friends staring at the text message and comprehending what Eyja was throwing at them...."I'm not sure"...."Icelandic waves are quite big" .....”the water is extremely cold"....

Eyja was not capturing their interest, she looked out of the window and on the streets she saw Electric Scooter!

The rest is history
